Dakota Deluxe: A Weekend in Leeds

Hey lovelies,

As you may know I am currently a VIP ambassador for Luxuria Lifestyle magazine and being a part of this means I get to do a lot of fun things, including travel and dinner reviews. This weekend I got to stay at Dakota Deluxe hotel in Leeds and it was such a treat!

Dakota Deluxe is perfectly located right in the city centre, a few minutes away from Trinity Leeds and a stones throw from Leeds station. The hotel location is more than ideal as the surrounding area boasted luxury bars and restaurants, as well as a plethora of shopping outlets perfect for retail therapy!

The room itself was absolutely stunning! Muted and modern grey tones mixed with vintage style prints and soft lights gave the room such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Inside the room we had a king-sized bed, a beautiful sofa, comfy armchairs, flatscreen television, mini fridge, desk and chair, and a selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Not to mention the bathroom! It was simply perfect with heated floors, a rainfall shower, and a large wash basin with a stunning oversized mirror that I absolutely loved!

Once we had settled in and explored the area, we freshened up and headed to The Bar & Grill for our dinner reservation. The food was possibly the highlight of my trip! For starters I had Pan Fried Scallops (parsnip puree, curry oil, golden raisins) and for my main I went for Fillet Steak (220g) with Champ Mash Potato. To accompany our dinner we had a bottle of Rioja Reserva, followed by two Espresso Martinis instead of dessert!

After dinner we went back up to our room before going out in Leeds, where we bumped into two of the hotel staff who had just given our room its evening turn-down. The lights were softly lit, slippers and bath robes laid out and a complimentary Green & Blacks chocolate bar left on each pillow. In terms of the bed, let’s just say that we slept like babies. It was wonderful!

For breakfast in the morning, the bar was set up with an array of cold meats and cheeses, pastries, fresh fruit and juices. We opted to have a hot breakfast from the kitchen and enjoyed a deliciously made Eggs Royale on toasted sourdough.

If you are looking for a hotel that is perfect for a city staycation, romantic couples retreat, or business trip, this contemporary hotel is the perfect luxury stay!

Love, Aysh x
